I am also a
professionally trained educator, and my engineering roles have always involved
hands-on lab work, and a significant role as mentor to the junior engineers in
my team.
Although I have been labeled
a "Software Engineer" for most of my career, I am an Engineer, first and foremost
and maintain a Professional Engineer license.
My most satisfying roles
as manager were ones in which I was a Technical Lead Engineer, where being a mentor was expected.
